  I bought this product for the features and price. I’ve been using it for a short time so I still have no clear opinion on their quality. I bought a Wristler before and it was really good since the first time I used it, but I don’t know what to say about this one.

  overall the product features are good. u can disable any brand that u dont want to use. especially, x brand & k brand: this unit can let u disable it. pro mode is good for advance user. Read the manual b4 use this unit then u will know how to operate it. voice alert after the alarm signal, sounds clear and loud. some feature must turn on b4 use. false signal not much at all. i bought 2 of this, one for me and one for my brother. i turned the pop mode on when i’m driving on the hwy, it pick up the warning signal, but i dont know it is false or not, i didnt c any cop around…..
  in the city, even the cop is in front of me or next to me, but my unit never get any alert.

  I actually purchased the Cobra XRS 9445 for my wife. she loves it its very sensitive when it comes to any detection or radar beam being picked up In my area the police has gone while in cutting down on seat belts, cell phones and speeders. It lets her know way in advance who is gunning for her if when goes over the speed limit. Also I brought this item at a real bargain. I am hoping to get one for myself.

  This radar detector detects false alarms about 95% of the time. I wish I could return it. Nothing like previous Cobra radar detectors I have owned, which worked great. I would not recommend this particular model to anyone who is in the market for a radar detector.

  I used this excellently described radar detector for about two weeks. I live in a busy city and like to get out of it when I can, so on the way to work and any where else I am always looking for speed traps. Well, if I wore glasses this might be better than them, but it’s really not for those who would like to know in ADVANCE that a police officer is a bit up the road gunning for them. If you like some beeps before you hear sirens, then this is for you! Even will tell you the band you just got hit by… I may be a little harsh, but to be fair I seriously think this unit was defective and needed proper tuning. I did get alerts though. on the range from 1 to 5; If a cop was right behind me (as did actually happen) about 50 feet back you will get a level 1 alert. If they are infront of you about 200 feet is the warning for the lowest level alert, which also resides in the false alarm level. I saw a 4 as the officer passed me and never once got a 5 out of this thing. Very weak signal and processor in this I guess. RX65 is best bet, spend the money if you want the range is what this experience taught me.

  Bought this item after looking over many other different detectors. And decided on this one. Had a little trouble with hard hard wiring it to the under the hood fuse box but figured it out after a little tweaking. After that had no problems. Product had me extremely satisfied with its performance. Very sensitive when its needed to be, granted not many if any false alarms. And the programing the product allows just adds to another great aspect to this radar detector. Great price, great buy…

  The cord was bad and kept blowing fuses. I had to pay $18 to replace the cord at best buy so I could use it. I should have send it back. The item works good now that the cord was replaced.

  As an engineer I have done some repeatable tests and every time I got same results, hence this unit is reliable in my opinion. I was able to pick all traffic photo enforcement areas and radars in different states. Display of GPS coordinate is a cool feature when you need to let others know where you are at. The “small USB” based GPS antenna should be reinforced a little bit for more mechanical ruggedness. I am not using the octopus grip clips that comes with the kit. Again…. design problem, The grip, length & angle of metallic piece, total weight of the detector do not match and fells from wind shield after a few road bumps. It is not major thing, you can buy different mount or stand.

  Over all I am pleased with the product.

  I have found a couple of camera’s that this product did not show up. I plan on turning these in but how many more is out there that i don’t know about. I pass a THP one night and never got no signal warning but there is always that chance that he wasn’t running radar. More time will tell before i take off and se it on a trip.

  This is an outstanding product and best value for the buck of all radar detectors I have seen or heard about.
  The only con I saw so far is that it gets some false alarms. Nevertheless, better safe than sorry – all it does is respond to beams and frequencies. It does have a toggle button city/highway to mitigate significantly false alarms, yet when you are on the freeway, it better be on highway mode.
  Now to the good stuff: It has a sweet display, way better than even the high end detectors have!
  The GPS module is a genius idea. You’ll be surprised how many red-light cameras are out there that you are unaware of. AND EVEN if you are familiar with them, it turns out to be a great reminder and a wakeup call right and ahead of time.
  This toy has already saved me twice so it has already paid for itself!!! I’ve gotta tell you one very important thing readers, and I hope this will not be censored: Lately, if you’ve noticed, there is an increasing number of patrol officers PICKING ON PEOPLE TO GENERATE MORE REVENUE TO THE GOVERNMENT, WHO IS DEEP IN DEBT. So it’s not that I don’t drive safely – I DO. But it’s time we be ahead of the game here!
  It covers virtually every type of radar detection out there!
  It has a compass, it can show your car battery voltage power, it can display your speed and you can set a threshold speed after which you’ll get a warning. It can show you your GPS coordinates at all times. Beautiful easy to get interface to configure the device to your preferences. What more could you ask for?
  So you see, not only is it a fine radar detector – it is much more than that. No other radar detector even comes close feature-wise – and that’s where I see this product’s strength. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

  Bought the product in 2007. It has been helpful since then.

  Three months ago the display broke. Last month it stopped working. It was worth the money.

  very good product for what it does. Registers a lot of unrelated foreign signals as well radar/laser. I wish it detected signals sooner. Be warned that as with all detectors this detects without any promises. The better protection against speeding citations is to slow down

  This radar detector looks good but the display did not work. I found that this is a wide spread problem with these radar detectors. I don’t suggest buying one of these. Buy a Escort or Valentine if you want a great radar detector.
